Where Slow Food and Whole Food Meet Cookbook Launch + Giveaway
30 food bloggers got together and created this cookbook titled Where Slow Food and Whole Food Meet: Healthy Slow Cooker Dinners from our Kitchens to Yours. This cookbook is full of healthy and affordable dinner recipes created for the slow cooker.
The book includes my recipe for Sweet Italian Sausage and Peppers which is a family favorite. You can find that recipe, and tons of other recipes plus gorgeous food photography in this book. I know that I am going to probably work my way through this book each week, one recipe at a time and I just can’t wait. At the bottom of this post you will find the recipe names of other participating bloggers. I’m sure that you will be enticed by the list of recipes and by the thrill of helping to Feed America!
September is National Hunger Action Month which is about awareness of the hunger issues in the country. Not only is it about awareness but it is also about taking action against hunger. The food blogging community has put together this cookbook in order to do just that: take action. All of the proceeds from the print copy of the book are going to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. Buy it here and you will be taking action too!
For more information about Hunger in America and Feeding America you can visit their website.
In addition, Feeding America food banks from across the country are giving the ebook version as a free gift to their donors. If you make a donation you will be given the ebook as a free gift. Donate now and get your free ebook!
